Parque Pumalín


Laguna Tronador

This trail starts 11 kilometers south of Caleta Gonzalo. It climbs through an alerce forest, once burned and now recuperating. The hike begins up a series of stairs, leading to a hanging bridge at a waterfall in the Tronador River. From there, you can continue for another hour and a half to reach an amphitheater lake.

Starting place: Carretera Austral, Tronador bridge, 11 km south of Caleta Gonzalo
Duration: 4 hours round trip.
Distance: 4,8 km round trip.
Return: Same route.
Difficulty: Medium-High
